Carrier Ductless Mini Splits in Homes Near Buchman, PA
Finding the perfect - and affordable way to heat and cool your home can be a challenge. When the homeowners of this two-story home in the Sugarloaf neighborhood in Conyngham gave us a call, they were looking for a better way to stay cool this summer rather than just relying on window air conditioners.
Problem: Homeowners had no air conditioning, and the increasingly warm summers were leaving them hot under the collar.
Solution: Two zones of Carrier Multi-zone ductless heating and air conditioning will keep this family comfortable all year long while also reducing their energy bills.
Window air conditioners will provide you with cooling, room by room, but window air conditioners are often loud, expensive to run, and take up your windows for many months out of the year!
This can actually be a security hazard, making it easier for someone to break into your home by just pushing an air conditioner in, not to mention the hassle they are to install each Spring and store each Fall. They’re big, heavy and noisy, and can be prone to condensation leaks, mold, and mildew.
When our experts from Plum-Air spoke with the homeowners, we found out their main concern was comfort in the master bedroom, and on the first floor where they spent most of their time. We knew then that we could install a two-zone system that would meet their needs, and could bring them the comfort they wanted while saving them money every month on energy bills.
Carrier makes state-of-the-art ductless heat pump systems that can deliver fantastic air conditioning and supplemental heating wherever they are placed in your home. The systems are composed of an outdoor heat pump unit that can run up to nine indoor wall-mounted units, sometimes called cassettes. Each indoor unit creates a separate zone of heating and air conditioning that can be controlled independently, delivering you the comfort you want, right where you need it most.
Carrier ductless systems don’t require ductwork, so they can be installed just about anywhere. The systems are highly-efficient heat pumps that use the temperature of the ambient air to heat or cool your home and can work when it’s -15F outside or over 100F, equally well! Carrier ductless systems use state-of-the-art inverter technology that allows them to use the minimum amount of energy necessary to keep each zone of comfort at just the right temperature, ensuring that you get the comfort you want, without giving you energy bills that give you a headache.
Each indoor wall-mounted unit, like the ones we installed in this home, pictured below, sits up high on the wall. State-of-the-art sensors monitor the temperature and humidity in a room, and then the distribution system makes sure every inch of the room is perfectly and equally comfortable. That’s a big improvement from typical window air conditioners which tend to make only part of the room comfortable. All you have to do is use the handy remote control and adjust the temperature to your preferences, and within minutes, you’ll have your perfect level of comfort.
One of the best things about Carrier ductless systems is how quiet they are. What that means that for our homeowners, they can finally watch TV in the evenings without having to turn it up to hear over the window air conditioners. And they’ll be able to get a peaceful night’s sleep, without the hum and clanking of a window air conditioner to disturb them.
But best of all, the systems also work as supplemental heating. That means as it starts to get cold this Fall, our homeowners can add just that touch of heat to their room so they’ll never have that cold dash across a frosty floor while getting ready in the morning again. It also means they can add a touch of heat on cold, rainy days, or even more heat right where they want it on very cold days, without having to adjust the temperature for the whole house. That saves money, and many of our homeowners have seen their heating bills drop as much as 30% once they get a new ductless system.
Because these systems are so efficient, they also qualify for rebates. Our homeowners were able to get $600 in rebates, helping make this new Carrier two-zone system even more affordable. With the increased efficiency and the ability to have the comfort they want, right where they need it most, our homeowners should end up saving money each and every month on their energy bills. And with Carrier’s ten-year warranty, the system should be worry-free for years to come, as long as they keep up with yearly maintenance, just like a normal heating and cooling system.
If you have a home in the Sugarloaf area that has hot and cold spots, or you’re tired of dealing with window air conditioners to keep cool, give us a call here at Plum-Air. We can design a custom Carrier ductless heating and cooling system for you, that will deliver year-round comfort at the touch of a button- and save you money every month on energy bills as well!
